In addition to the new cameras tonight, Fujifilm also announced a new XF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR zoom lens built for nature and sports photographers.
The lens has the equivalent filed of view of a 152-609mm lens on a full frame sensor. It’s built with 21 elements in 14 groups, including five Extra-Low Dispersion elements and one Super Extra-Low Dispersion element to fight chromatic aberration. That’s a serious amount of glass.
Using the built-in OIS system, it promises 5-stops of hand-held image stabilization. It’s weather-sealed, so it combats moisture and dust, as well as low temperatures down to 14-degrees.
The lens will be available for $1,899 when it starts hitting the store shelves in February.
